This a tiny Java-Game called Moorhenne that is similar to the
Game "Moorhuhn" from Phenomedia.

Install Moorhenne on your Web-Server
------------------------------------
Moorhenne on your Homepage ? No Problem !
Copy all the following files (they are case-sensitive !) in one Directory on your Server:
moorhenne.class
back.jpg
back1.jpg
shot.au
mh3.gif
mh4.gif
mh5.gif
Create a HTML-File an paste-in the following Code:
(take a look at moorhenne.htm)
I also like links to http://privat.schlund.de/P/Pfeifer/moorhenneen.htn ;-)
If the moorhenne.class is in another Directory then you must update the codebase. If they are in
the same Directory you can remove the Codebase-Parameter.
Now, Moorhenne should run !
Installation of the CGI-Script to save the Highscores
-----------------------------------------------------
Now you have a running Moorhenne on your Homepage ... but the Highscores are not saved. Everytime
you restart the Game, the Highscores are lost.
You must install the CGI-Perl-Script to have the Highscores saved.
Your Server must have the following requirements to run the CGI:
- Your Server is able to run CGI-Perl-Script. If not, the Script's Sourcecode is only displayed or
you get a Permission-Error.
- The CGI-Server must have the same IP as the HTTP-Server. (some Providers have a different Server
for CGI-Scripts)
- The Perl-CGI-Libary is installed (default)
I've installed Moorhenne on Hypermart.net (http://pfeifer.hypermart.net) and it works fine there.
Copy high.txt and log.txt in a Directory which can be accessed by the CGI and is also available per
HTTP.
Change the Path's for high.txt and log.txt in high.pl. Eventually you must also change the Perl-Path
in the first line.
If you don't know the Path's for your Server, please ask the Server-Admin and not me because I don't
know the Paths for your Server.
Copy the high.pl in your CGI-Directory (in ASCII-Mode).
If you start the Script with your Browser (http://.../.../cgi-bin/high.pl) you should get something
like this:
test
10
(49*2 empty lines)
14.4.2000 15:43:43,GET,149.225.121.95,,Mozilla/4.08 [en] (Win95; I ;Nav),,,,,
header error
If not check the Paths.
If the CGI run correct you must change the HTML-Code:
The hurl Parameter says where the high.txt is available. hcgi is the
same for the CGI-Script.
